Curtis VonGunten

Curtis E. VonGunten 82 of Murrells Inlet went to be with the Lord peacefully on June 10 2008. Mr. VonGunten was a former resident of Tallmadge for 43 years. He was born in Akron and a graduate of Buchtel High School. He also served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He retired from Alsides Inc after 33 yrs. of service. Curtis was married to Evelyn for 56 years. A loving husband father and grandfather. He is survived by loving children: daughters Valerie (Nicholas) Petrarca (nee VonGunten) of Canal Fulton Lisa of Akron and Debra of Suffield. Sons John of SC Matthew of Ark Michael of Tallmadge David (Barbara) of Tallmadge Mark (Laurie) of Akron and eight loving grand children Nicole Daniel Andrew Tiffany Curtis Grace Hallie Sadie. Brothers Leo & Victor of Akron & several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday June 15 4-8 PM at Hummel Funeral Homes 500 E. Exchange St Akron. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Victory Church 73 North Ave. Tallmadge on Monday June 16 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc. P.O.
