Christopher James Hamad, 59 years, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Akron to Naser and Peggy Hamad on December 2, 1956. Chris was the owner of Rocknes on Merriman Road and a devout member of Our Lady of the Cedars Church. He was involved in countless organizations, charities and athletics within the community, too numerous to mention. Proceeded in death by his father, Naser Hamad and the family dog Kobi. Chris leaves to cherish his devoted wife Saint Sandy (Myers) and 6 children. Tana (Jeremy) Ruester, Christopher II (Stephanie) Hamad, Johnathan Hamad, Kara (Christopher) Louis, Karli (Darren) Brennan and Adam Hamad; mother Peggy Hamad; siblings Clarissa (Allan) Moser, Christine (Dennis) Miller, Carrie Hamad, Curtis (Valerie) Hamad and Caroline (Rob) Bishop; 5 and a half grandchildren; Sevanna Hamad, Aaron, Cameron, Layla, Baby Ruester and Jackson Louis; countless treasured nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Chris took his role as a husband, father and provider with such pride, love and humility. He welcomed everyone in to his life and made them a part of his family. His favorite quote from 'It's a Wonderful Life' was 'I am the richest man in the world.' His family and friends made his life so bountiful. His wealth was never measured by materials, but by the riches of the intangibles. His mother said it best, '...everyday was an adventure.' Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 2-8 PM at Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church, 507 S Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Fairlawn, 44333. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 44 University Ave, Akron, OH 44308 with Chor Bishop Michael Kail and Reverend Monsignor William Bonczewski officiating. PROCESSION WILL FORM ON BROADWAY STREET IN FRONT OF ST. BERNARD CHURCH. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following; The United Saghbeen Society, P.O.Box 67105 Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44224 or Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church Building Fund.
