Chelsie Huber

July 3, 1989 — September 25, 2015

Chelsie Elizabeth Huber was born on July 3, 1989 and completed her journey on this earth on September 25, 2015. She was loved by so many and always looked for the good in others. Chelsie's life was filled with love, curiosity and an adventurous spirit- never afraid to try something new. However, for an extended time, Chelsie had demons with which she battled bravely. For brief periods, with the support of loved ones, she gained control of her life, but in the end could not sustain this control. But this struggle doesn't define who Chelsie was or what she stood for. The family's hope is that those who have their own struggles will carry something from Chelsie's life experience that can strengthen them in their own life journey. Chelsie leaves to cherish her memory her parents: Mike and Martha (Ostroski) Huber; her loving siblings: Kindelan ('Sister') and Jake ('Boog'). She was blessed with the gift of her son Calogero Gabriel Mariola, her 'little monkey'. Preceded in death by Grandfather Edmund Ostroski, she also leaves behind her grandparents: Kathleen (Considine) Ostroski and David and Marge Huber; aunts and uncles: Kay (Joe) Bodnar, Tricia Ostroski, Reenie (Tony) Nasrallah, Dennis Ostroski, John Ostroski, Mark Ostroski, (Godmother) Loretta Ostroski, Tim (Mary Alice) Ostroski, Tina Ostroski, Chip Ostroski, Jeff (Sue Carpenter) Huber and Doug (Chris Hattery) Huber; cousins: Heather (John) Schober, Megan (Curtis) Ridgeway, Joey Bodnar, Josh (Stephanie) Nasrallah, Jared Barnett, Erin Nasrallah, Josh Huber, Kaylee (Anthony) Frisone, George Huber, Cody Huber, Carmen Ostroski, Jacquee Ostroski, Natalie Schober, Nicholas Schober, Lilly Nasrallah, Gabe Nasrallah, and Augustus Ridgeway. She also leaves behind Spenser, Nancy, Bruno, Brock, Jackson, Gabe, Mama and Nonna, as well as other cherished members of the Mariola, Richardson and Carmichael Families. Chelsie also has a large, loving extended family along with many friends, too numerous to list, whom she considered family, who mourn her loss. Chelsie graduated from St. Martha School and St. Vincent- St. Mary High School. During her school years she participated in all sports and focused solely on cheering in high school. She lived in Arizona for several years, enjoying her job at a resort hotel. Upon returning to Akron in 2014, she worked for her godfather Dave (Mel) Traugh doing clerical/office work. Chelsie was a very loving and caring person with a great smile, a huge hug and an 'I Love You' for everyone (even overusing it at times!) She always focused on the best in others and loved to laugh. She will always be in our hearts and we know she is watching over us in heaven. Her wish for each of us would be to look for the good in others, and share a good laugh. Visitation will be Sunday October 4, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Blessed Trinity, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave. To honor her memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either of the following: The Shawn Gaffney Foundation, Inc. 230 Green Hill Drive, Tallmadge, OH 44278 or G.R.I.P. Ministries, Inc, (God Restoring Imperfect People) PO Box 95 Mogadore, OH 44260.
