Charles H. Radebaugh (Chuck) died November 15 2009 at age 83. He was born in Urbana Illinois in 1926 to the late Gustav H. and Mildred Kirkpatrick Radebaugh. Immediately out of Urbana High School he was put into the Pacific Theater of World War II. He graduated with Honors from the University of Illinois School of Business after which he had a 40-year career with Firestone serving in many areas of the country and in many capacities. He was a long-time volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Akron helping with the accounting. He was a past president and continued to volunteer for the Memorial Society of North Central Ohio. He was one of the founding members on the board of directors of the Stow Symphony Orchestra. He was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron serving on the board as Treasurer. His favorite pastimes were fishing golfing travelling and reading. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou to whom he was married for 61 years. Survivors also include the 2 daughters and their husbands and children Nancy and Keby Samuel of Hudson Ohio and their son Aiden and Kay Radebaugh and Kenneth Hitson of Greensboro North Carolina and their children Johnathan Charles and Angelisa. Kay's oldest son Robert Lee Cannon III lives in Titusville Florida. He is also survived by one sister Joan Bolton of Cape Cod Massachusetts. Brother-in-law Dr. R. Merle Stauffer lives in Champaign Illinois. A sister Mary Ellen Scott preceded him in death as did a brother Gustav H. Radebaugh of Orem Utah. A Memorial Service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church 3300 Morewood Rd Akron at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 12 with the Rev. Tim Temerson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Stow Symphony Orchestra at P.O.
