Cecile Meyers

Cecile F Meyers 90 of Akron (previously of Lakeside/Marblehead) passed away October 8 2010 at Summa Akron City Hospital Acute Palliative Care Unit. Cecile was born on August 9 1920 in Cookeville TN but lived most of her life in Northeast Ohio. She was a devoted mother grandmother and aunt and was very active in the Marblehead Historical Society. Cecile was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 61 years Lambert 'Bert' Meyers. She is survived by son Gary (Beverly) Meyers; grandsons Chris and Josh Meyers; nieces Pam Benson and Sandy (Ellis) Kieper and many other great-nieces great-nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday October 12 at 11 AM at Hummel Funeral Home Copley 3475 Copley Road. Interment in Rose Hill Burial Park with Rev. Tom Zucconi officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home for one hour prior to service (10 - 11AM). Memorial donations may be made to the Acute Palliative Care Unit at Summa Akron City Hospital 525 E. Market ST Akron OH 44309.
