Cathy Carper

Cathy Ann Carper, age 63, went to dance with her husband, Mike, in Heaven on September 18, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 4, 1954 in Akron, Ohio to the late Owen Facemire and Marjorie Ellis. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles 'Mike' Carper; she is survived by her children, Jody (Mitchell) Rearick, Shane (Melissa) Carper and Mary Ellis; grandchildren, Kennedy, Madison, Bryan and Bryce Rearick, Charlie (Breanna Bowers), Mackenzie (Edwin Greene) and Samantha Carper, Sierra, Brooklyn and Jeremiah Knight, Tommy Ellis and Matthew Pruitt; great grandchild, Braxton Rowles; siblings, Jerry, Randy, Johnny (Tammy), Aaron and Carla Facemire and Jeanie Kieffer; step-father, Thomas Ellis and many nieces and nephews. Cathy loved and was very proud of her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Western Reserve Hospital ICU for all of their loving care. Calling hours will be 5-7pm Friday, September 28, at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio 44304. Memorial service will be 10:00am Saturday, September 29, at the funeral home, followed by inurnment at Hillside Memorial Park.
