Carolyn Lancione

Carolyn Lancione beloved wife mother and grandmother passed away on June 28 2013 at the Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Road in Copley Carolyn was born on February 11 1928 in Coraopolis Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Mary Grogan. She graduated in 1946 from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School in Coraopolis. After business school she began her career at the Pittsburgh Forgings Company as an engineering department secretary. She married in 1953 and became a home maker. After raising her family she returned to work and later retired from the Department of Human Services. She enjoyed gardening around her home and also traveled extensively with her husband throughout the United States and Overseas. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Grogan. brothers Leo and Charles. She is survived by Gregory her husband of 60 years sons Gregory (spouse Debra) Michael (spouse Maureen) four grandchildren Emily Sarah Elizabeth Lancione and Megan Williams. Being a devoted dog lover other precious family members were Penny Sammy Max and Barney. The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Copley Health Center and Hospice Care Center for all the support and care Carolyn received. Visitation will be held on Monday July 1st from 4pm to 8 pm at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange Street Akron Ohio. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11am on July 2nd at St. Sebastian Parish Mull Ave Akron. Interment will take place at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in McMurray Pennsylvania on July 3rd.
