Carole Combs

Carole Ann Combs, 76, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She is survived by her two sons and their families, Cliff (Debbie) Melissa and Scott; Eric (Betsy) Christian, Jeff (Christina), Kristin (Scott) Strayer and their daughter, Callie. She is also survived by her mother, Ann Sherby, brother, Gary (Anita) Sherby and niece, Christina. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Cliff (March 23, 2016) and father, Michael. Carole attended Buchtel High School where she met the love of her life, Cliff. They married in 1956 and she was a proud wife and mother. The two of them were inseparable and now are together again. She deeply loved each and every one of her five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, the sun, beach, and outdoors. Carole was a loving and generous person who cared more about others than herself. Her family could not have asked for more. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley, where a funeral service will be held Monday, May 2, at 2 p.m. Interment at Copley Cemetery.
