Carl G. Gilreath of Wadsworth, OH passed away peacefully on July 25, 2021, at Akron General Hospital. Carl was born August 3, 1941 in Burbank, OH, to the late Charles and Louise (Romick) Gilreath.
Carl graduated from Copley High School. He worked in the auto business starting with Terex and retiring from GM after 30+ years. Carl loved riding his motorcycle and especially enjoyed his recent trips across country with his brother, Harold. He would brag to others about the 50,000 miles he put on his 2014 Can Am Spyder. Carl returned from FL shortly after his wife passed away to enjoy watching his beloved grandkids participate in their many activities. He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. Carl will be missed by many.
Carl is survived by his children, Thomas C. Gilreath and Brenda J. (Gilreath) Trent, spouse, Greg Trent, and their mother, Karen Harrison; grandchildren, Emily Trent, A.J. Trent, and Ian Trent; siblings, Harold Gilreath, Charlene Woods, and Darla Leonard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Becky (Wartko) Gilreath and sister, Betty Smith.
A private service will be held at a later date.
