Bruce Burgan

Bruce Richard Burgan, 89 years of Hudson, passed away at Laurel Lake Wednesday, September 17, 2014 surrounded by his family. Predeceased by both parents, and brother Dean D. Burgan, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth Endlich Burgan, his son David (Cindy) Burgan, daughters Joanne Brownhill and Janet Burgan, sisters-in-law Carol Burgan and Barbara Endlich. After graduation from Akron North High School, Bruce served in the U.S. Army for three years during World War II in both Europe and Japan. Bruce received his Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Case Institute of Technology. He spend his working years employed by The General Metals Powder Company in Akron, Ohio. He enjoyed the outdoors - hiking, fly fishing and biking. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ, 915 N. Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44310 on Saturday, September 20th at 1PM with Rev. Dr. Carl Wallace officiating. Calling hour will be from 12 noon to 1PM. Memorials may be sent to Trinity United Church of Christ or your favorite charity.
