Bridget McCluskey

Bridget Jane McCluskey, 71 of Akron, passed away peacefully December 23, 2018. Born in Rochester, NY on April 28, 1947, she was the oldest of Jane and Malcolm McCluskey. Bridget worked in the medical field for 40 years as a Clinical Supervisor in Rochester and Akron City Hospital. Survived by her siblings Tim McCluskey (Rebecca) Phoenix, AZ, Eileen Sullivan (Greg) Mars, PA, Dr. Dennis McCluskey (Mona) and Monica McCluskey (Dick Kennett) Pinckney, MI; friend Patty McCluskey. Bridget was very proud and loved her time with her 14 nieces and nephews, 22 great nieces and nephews. The family thanks the loyal friends who kept in close touch and cared for Bridget. She gave more than she had. She was a supporter of those who struggled, the underdog. In return, many loved her. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, where the family will receive friends from 10-11AM. The family requests memorials be made to the Stephen A. Comunale, Jr. Family Cancer Foundation, P.O.Box 13805 Akron, OH 44333 or to perform an act of kindness in Bridget's name.
