Bonnie Griffin

Mrs. Bonnie Griffin, age 85, passed away on June 23, 2022. She was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Claire and Bernice Battels. Bonnie married John Vincent Griffin and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2006.

Bonnie was also preceded in death by her brother Eugene (Pat) Battels and granddaughter Isabel Simone Foerster and her many animal friends she's rescued over the years.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, LouAnn (Justin) Foerster; grandchildren, Madelyn and Alexander; nephew Ralph Battels, niece Teresa Battels, and cousin Robert Sheppard (Janet).

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Road, Copley. A funeral service will take place Saturday, July 2nd, at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Fairlawn.

Bonnie's favorite charity was One of A Kind Pet Rescue. She used to crochet cat afghans and donate them to animals in need. In lieu of flowers, please donate to help a pet in need.
