Bonna Thompson

Bonna L. Thompson was born in Iowa on Aug. 1, 1927 and died on May 1, 2015. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed camping, water skiing and traveling. Bonna was very active in her church, Fairlawn-West United Church of Christ, volunteering many hours there. Preceded in death by her parents, Melvy and Thelma Amis and grandson, Zak; she is survived by her children, Greg Thompson, Terri Charles, Brian (Judy) Thompson and Dawn (Jim) Kramer; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Calling hours will be 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Thursday at Fairlawn-West United Church of Christ (2095 W. Market St. Akron, Ohio), where the memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m., Pastor Debbie Rhinesmith officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bonna's memory may be made to the church.
