Beverly Ann Moore
June 24, 1934 - December 13, 2021
The earthly world just lost a very special hero today. Her style was quiet and easily overlooked but amazingly unique. She was physically small but a powerhouse of emotional strength, intelligence, and determination that seemed to be able to do anything! She overcame both physical and emotional adversities to become a strong and powerful
source of love and loyalty to many!
Despite losing her father at age 4 and growing up on a working farm during the depression, she graduated from high school at age 16 as the class valedictorian. She then worked her way through college where she earned various degrees while supporting her husband through law school and raising their 1st daughter. In college she excelled in chorus. Even though it would embarrass her children when she would sing in the grocery store, Bev had a truly beautiful voice and sang everyday. She loved children of all ages and taught 1st and 2nd grades in Jacksonville Fl. and 4th, 5th, and 7th grades at Woodridge School System.
Her lifelong love of animals started with Topsy her working draft horse and Toby her childhood Shepard dog which continued with numerous rescue cats and dogs. Her love of reading is reflected in her home filled with books. Her love of gardening also remained as she enjoyed being outside in her beautiful yard at the home she designed and assisted in building in 1960. Definitely her greatest love of all was her family, husband Marvin Moore (preceded her in death in 2020), daughters and sons-in-law: Diana and Mike Neff, Melanie and Mark Foertch, and Shaunna Moore.
We will always be grateful for her never ending love and modeling of how to live a full life. Rest in peace Mom because you will need it once we get there!
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Donations can be made to any animal organization as they will all need your help now that Mom is gone.
