Betty Newman

Betty Mae Newman 86 of Akron died September 3, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Newman. Betty is survived by her children Sandy (Ronnie) Stephanoff, Sue (Richard) McPherson, Bob (Maria), Donald (Marilyn), Diane (Eddie) Czerwinski Jeff (Linda) and Daniel (Kathy) Newman; grandchildren Angela, Jonathan S., Kristie, Shannon, Ryan, Andrea, Alex, Dustin, Jonathan N., Corey and Jennifer; great-grandchildren Tony, Jason, Nate, Jackson, Delaney, Tori, Lani, Riley, Sterling, Dodge, Tripp, Rachael and Carter and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon (family will receive friends 1 hour prior) Thursday, September 7, 2016 at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. with Rev. Dr. Bob Denton will officiate. Interment in Mount Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice in memory of Betty.
