Betty Hook

Betty M. Hook Betty M. Hook, 88, of Akron, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Summa Health Systerm Palliative Care Center of a result of a sudden stroke. Born in Atwater, Ohio on August 3, 1929, she was retired from First National Bank with 26 years service. An active volunteer at the E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Center and the Akron Civic Theater, she was a member of Grace United Church of Christ of Loyal Oak. Betty was preceded in death by parents Clarence and Emma Strong and husband Henry. She is survived by daughters Dianne (Dan) Kuntzman, Barbara Forshey and Carol (Roger) Price; grandchildren Dawn Forshey, Sherri Forshey, David (Christina) Kuntzman, Dick (Amy) Kuntzman, Danielle (Scott) Heaton, Dale Kuntzman, Pat Kuntzman, Adam (Jacqui) Price, Jesse Price; great grandchildren Kayla, Dillon, Sarah, Jayden Kuntzman, Maya Price, Jonathan Rasch, Jesse and Becca Heaton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, 1:00 pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St., Akron, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service.
