Betty S. Bradley (Payne) Betty Bradley 83, from Green, passed away May 13, 2016. She was born on June 10, 1932 to Arnold and Virginia Payne in Lenior, North Carolina. Betty was one of 10 children and moved to Akron when she was 13 years old. She she stayed in the Akron area for the remainder of her life. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 56 1/2 years,Tom, her parents and four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by son, Michael, Vickie (Larry) Mackey, and sisters, Edna Knotts and Jody O'Boy. Betty also leaves behind grandchildren, Lisa (Orlin) Marx, Joshua Bradley, Michael Bradley Jr., Jennifer (Mike) Montisano, Jim (Courtney) Hamad, Jackie (Mike) Waterman, John (Kristin) Mackey, Jessa Mackey and 14 great-grandchildren. Betty was a wonderful mother and grandmother and there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her family. We all loved her and will miss her greatly. Betty had many wonderful friends, some from St. Martha's Retirement Community , Giant Tiger, Gaylords Department Store and Montgomery Wards where she worked before retiring. The family of Betty would like to send special thanks to the wonderful staff from Summa Hospice at Home and the caring staff at Pebble Creek Nursing Home in Green. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd. Uniontown, 44685 on Friday May 20, 2016 at 10 AM. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-7 pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Queen of Heaven Church Building Fund.
