Bernard Moffitt

Bernard V. Moffitt was born on January 17 1929 in Akron and died April 11 2006 at Hospice in Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. Bernie retired from Buckeye Sports Center after 40 years of service. During this time he became acquainted with local and national sports personalities. After he retired he enjoyed gardening and working in the yard and continued his interests in sporting events. He was a Sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War. Berne was a partner in Lewis-Moffitt Insurance Agency Inc. Preceded in death by his parents Rose and George Moffitt; nephews David and Daniel Henry. Bernie is survived by sisters Rita Flanagan Marie (Jim) Henry Barbara (Jim) Censky; partner companion dedicated soul mate Vera Lewis; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Sebastian Church 476 Mull Ave. Akron OH on Monday April 17 2006 at 10:00 AM. Inurnment in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
