Benjamin Paul Christman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Ben Paul Christman. Ben passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 11, 2025, from natural causes.

Born on February 12, 2003, Ben's life was one of boundless energy, passion, and a deep love of sport and its core principles. A standout player on the field, he was known for his strength, determination, and larger than life presence, earning him the affectionate nickname "Big Ben." He was a force on and off the field, always ready with a smile and a helping hand, and his love for the sport, particularly football, fueled his dreams of playing at the highest level.

Ben was a proud graduate of Revere High School. After playing at The Ohio State University for 2 years, Ben played & graduated with Honors from the University of Kentucky. Most recently he was a player & graduate student at The University of Nevada Las Vegas. He excelled as a scholar athlete and formed lasting friendships that touched many lives. His enthusiasm for life was infectious, and his loyalty to those who cared about him knew no bounds. A gentle giant, he always was available for others, especially his two younger brothers, Thomas, and Brooks.

Those who knew Ben will remember him for his joyful spirit, kind heart and unshakeable commitment to those around him. He leaves behind a family who adored him, friends and teammates who admired him, and a community who will forever cherish the impact he made during his brief time with us.

Ben is survived by his parents, Karen Perry Christman and Brian Thomas Christman. His beloved younger brothers, Thomas, and Brooks. Grandparents, Paul and Kathleen Perry, Judy Christman, and the late Gary Christman. He also leaves behind Karen's sisters, Meg Jewell and Marian Wilson and his uncles, John Jewell, and Steven Wilson. Brian's brothers, Troy Christman, Chad Christman and his Aunt Dawn Christman and his dear cousins, Lauren, Nina, Jack, Mary, Andrew, Cameron, Colin, and Connor.

Visiting hours will be Thursday February 20, 2025 from 3 - 7pm at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. A memorial service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church Akron, OH.

Rest in peace Ben Paul. You will forever be remembered, and your legacy will live on in every game, every touchdown, and every heart you touched.

A fund has been created to honor the memory of Revere & NCAA Student-Athlete Ben Christman. Your contribution is a 100% Tax Deductible donation with ALL proceeds directly benefiting graduating Student-Athletes. Revenue from this fund will be paid annually in the form of Scholarships to those who embody "Big Ben's" characteristics of hard-work, resilience, loyalty, & kindness.

The Christman Family is grateful for your generosity in helping build a long-term resource aiding Student-Athletes for years to come. These annual awards will lend a helping hand to those continuing their education at the collegiate level.
