Barbara Bucy

Barbara Ann Bucy, 69, passed away Friday May 18, 2018 after battling Parkinson Disease and MS. Barb was born on February 26, 1949 and was a life long resident of the Akron Ohio area. She attended St. Mary grade school and high school. She retired from Guaranteed Title and Trust with 44 years of service. The last few years of her life Barb resided at the Village at St. Edward where she enjoyed the varied activities there and associating with the many residents and friends. She enjoyed her beloved dogs Caesar and Charlie. She looked forward to lunches with her high school classmates and her water aerobic exercises. Barb was preceded in death by her parents James and Margaret Considine; half brother Tom Smetts; father and mother-in-law Lester and Nancy Bucy. She is survived by brother and sister-in-law James and Ann Considine; brother Robert Considine; former husband Mike Bucy; nephews Brian and Kevin Considine and numerous cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday May 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel in the Village of St. Edward, 3131 Smith Rd. Fairlawn, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service in the Gathering Room. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later time. No Flowers Please. Donations may be made to your favorite charity in Barbara's name.
