Art Cole age 84 passed away peacefully at Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service on Thursday November 21 2013. Born and raised on Bloomfield Avenue in Akron Ohio Art was a 1947 graduate of St. Vincent High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1950 and was married to Margaret P. (Peggy) Mough of Copley in 1956 at St. Sebastian's Church. Art worked in sales in Akron Pittsburgh and Parkersburg WV before he and Peggy moved to San Francisco CA in 1960. Art graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in International Economics. In 1997 after 40 years in California they moved back to the Akron area to be closer to family. Art was preceded in death by his father Edmund H. Cole in 1960 his mother Pearle A. Schueler in 1980 and his wife Peggy in 2012. He is survived by his older sister Kathleen A. (Cole) Ambrosini of North Carolina sisters- and brother-in-law Barbara Strigle Joanne Walker-Mays and Jerry Mough and numerous nieces and nephews around the country. Art was a man of good humor. He was always happy never complained and always worked hard both at work and at home on any of countless gardening or other projects over the years. He was quick to lend a hand or offer advice and generous with his time his skill and his garden's output. He was satisfied with whatever life brought him whether it was a quiet night on the couch with Peggy and one of their many beloved dogs beer with friends a family gathering or a good conversation with anyone. He and Peggy had a full life of adventures together from motor scooter trips across the U.S. and Europe to life in 1960's San Francisco. A funeral mass celebrating Art's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday December 7 2013 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church 1686 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Copley. He and Peggy will be interred together at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman Ohio.
