Arthur Blair

Arthur R. (Art) Blair Jr. 83 of Akron made his transition on Wednesday December 28 2011. Art was born on September 25 1928 to the late Arthur Sr. and Mildred (Koehner) Blair. He is also preceded in death by his brother Jackie and 2 former wives Sally Blair (Juanita Myers) and Louise Blair (Louise Rostin). He is survived by three children Jack (Barbara) Jill Kennedy and Cindy (Gary) Hansard all of Florida; 6 grandchildren Jennifer (Mike) Lisa (Paul) Sandy Jamie Shannon (Mark) and Stacey (Scott); 9 great grandchildren Dakota Alexa Bryce Caleb Kyler Carter Jaelyn Ethan and Thomas; siblings Ronald Lillian (Coates) and Shirley (Chuchu) and many nieces and nephews all of the Akron area. Art owned his own real estate company in Akron. And his church Unity Chapel of Light was full of people he thought were extraordinary. Over the years Art was involved in a number of volunteer community projects and various clubs like the Fairlawn Chamber of Commerce where as a past president he was awarded a Lifetime Membership. Per Art's request cremation will take place. A Memorial Service will be held on January 13 at 11 AM at the Unity Chapel of Light 503 Northwest AV Tallmadge OH 44278.
