Arline Sanders

Arline Sanders (née Koeberle) was born on June 29, 1921, in Akron, Ohio. This beautiful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother slipped away peacefully with her children by her side on May 19, 2015, at the age of 93. Arline took full advantage of life every day. Her joy was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends, to whom she leaves the gifts of her compassion, loyalty, wit and humor. Arline was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Louie Sanders and her first born son, Ed Sanders. Arline is survived by her daughters Jan (Bob) White, Lynn (Denny) Hanna, son, Jim (Trish) Sanders and Ed's wife Sue Sanders. Arline's seven granchildren and nine great-grandchildren will have many cherished memories of their grandma and GG, especially Casey, Ann and their girls. Arline loved playing cards, bingo, traveling to both local and out-of-state casinos and was able to participate in those activities in her final weeks. She was also a proud three-time breast cancer survivor. The family gives special thanks to Dr. Franciska Kiraly for her personal compassion to Arline and Heartland Hospice for their care and support of Arline and her family. The family will receive friends Thursday 4-7 pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 10 a.m. at Visitation of Mary (Annunciation), 87 Broad Street. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
