Anthony McCarthy

Anthony 'Tony' McCarthy, age 88, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 after a short illness. He was born January 6, 1930 in Pola, Italy and settled in the Cleveland area in the late 1940's. Tony is survived by his loving wife, Marguerite; step-sons, Ian Adams and Neil (Sandi) Adams; grandchildren, Kelly (Matthew) Schron and Stacy (Eric) Boise; and four great-grandchildren Hayden, Allie and Emerson Schron and Paige Boise. He is survived by a nephew, Vinko (Stephanie) Turninkovich in Adelaide, Australia. He is also survived by many other family members in Italy, Croatia and Australia. Tony formerly worked as an engineer at Anchor Fasteners in Bedford, Ohio. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. A private family service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Macedonia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cleveland Clinic Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.
