Anne Frambes

March 1, 1926 — November 15, 2015

Anne Frambes, 89, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2015, at The Village of St. Edward. Born March 1, 1926 in Hemphill, WV to Francis and John Kelly, Anne married Charles Mahlon Frambes in July, 1946. Married for 62 years, they lived in many locales during his service in the US Navy, including Panama, South Carolina, and Rhode Island. She called South Jersey, Pennsylvania, and then Wadsworth home. Anne worked as a medical office assistant while in NJ, and later enjoyed running the Pine Log Motel in Ulysses, PA before retiring. Many great family reunions were held there, and her grandsons have wonderful memories of hiking and snowmobiling in the mountains. Anne never met a stranger, and if she could, she would feed you, and then take you out for a walk around the block or through the park. But the walk was only on the agenda if you were back by happy hour. Never a dull or quiet moment with Anne around. Preceded in death by son, John Mahlon Frambes, and her husband, Chuck, and all but one of her six siblings, Anne is survived by her daughter, Cathy Parker (Richard); Grandsons John Lerner (Sara), Benjamin Lerner (Kimberly), and David Lerner (Elizabeth Marsh, fiancé); four energetic and treasured great-grandchildren, Aliana, Evan, Lucy and Quinn; sister Sophie Rieger of Park Rapids, MN, and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 11:15 am on Friday, November 20 at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman. Please assemble at the reception area at 11:00 am. Celebration and remembrance luncheon at The Galaxy Restaurant to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Edward Foundation, 3131 Smith Rd, Fairlawn, OH 44333.
