Annamae Bianco Thompson (nee Stadtmiller) an Akron-area resident died Friday June 6 2012. She was 89. A daughter of Ferdinand and Anna Maria (Merzweiler) Stadtmiller Annamae was born in Akron on June 26 1922 graduated from East High School attended Akron University and Hammel Actual Business College and worked in insurance. She volunteered for many years at St. Thomas Hospital (Summa Health Care) and at Holy Family Parish. Annamae was a vivacious and compassionate woman devoted to her family and community steeped in her faith. She loved to entertain and travel and had a gift for making friends. She is preceded in death by husbands Ronald T. Thompson and Michael C. Bianco M.D. son Peter Bianco and siblings Al Stadtmiller Ruth Hieber Rosemary Marco Bernadine Graf Irene Krupp and Elizabeth Hardt. She is survived by children Joseph Bianco Barbara Bianco Marianne Bianco and Rosemarie Ripple sister and brother-in-law Jeanne and Bruce Gill sisters-in-law Helen Capobianco Angelina Bianco and Josephine Stafinski and many nieces nephews and friends. Donations in her honor can be sent to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service Akron General Development Foundation (330-344-6888). Her family is grateful to Hospice VNS and Visiting Angels for their care and support. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 A.M. Saturday June 16 2012 at St. Hilary Church 2750 W. Market St. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 P.M. at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St.
