Anna May Sedlak

Anna May Sedlak (Nee Wiersch) passed away peacefully on September 24th. She was born to Shirley and Herbert Wiersch and was sister to Jackeline Burkholder, Eileen Rieck, and brother Herbert (Duke). She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Daniel Sedlak Sr, and her son, Daniel Sedlak Jr. She was the loving mother of daughter Catherine Kilroy (Kevin), daughter Laura Nieman (Tom), son David Sedlak (Roxanne) and seven grandchildren including Alex and Nathan (Dan Jr), Emily (Cathy), Leah and Kane (Laura), and Tatiana and Jonathan (David). She was great grandmother to Danilynn, Cole, and Emmitt (Alex) , and Nash and Benson (Emily).

Anna May started as mother to four followed by a career at Cargill Salt Co in Akron from which she retired. Her and her husband loved to entertain, bringing together their neighborhood in Stow, OH. Her and Dan loved to travel, she enjoyed collecting tea pots and volunteered as a parishioner of Guardian Angels Church who volunteered often. ...and Macy's will miss her!

Donations can be made to the American Heart Association in her name. The family will receive relatives and friends at Hummel Funeral Home on October 1st from 2pm to 5pm. A mass will be held in her honor at Guardian Angels Church on October 2nd at 10 am.
