Angelo Giampetro

Angelo Anthony Giampetro , 74, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio passed away peacefully after his battle with cancer on January 13, 2022 , surrounded by his loving family. Angelo was born August 14, 1947 in Akron, Ohio to Anthony and Carmella (Gurfrida) Giampertro. He graduated from North High School and served honorably in the US Army from 1969 - 1973. After his military service he became a Master Mechanic at Ron Marhofer Chevrolet, where he worked for over 40 years. After Angelo's retirement he continued his love for cars, cooking and watching NASCAR. Angelo's most prized auto was his 1969 Camaro Z28.

Angelo was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his beloved wife Sue who has been the love of his life for 50 years. He is also survived by sister Anna Marie (Jim) Garlando, brother-in-law Louie (Diann) Sullivan. His memory will also be cherished as Uncle to nieces Melanie (John) Meisel, Laurie (Fred) Thiessen, Jenee (Jen) Garlando, Laura (Danny) Karam and nephew Michael Sullivan. He was also loved by his 12 great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Hummel Funeral Home in Akron is handling arrangements. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 18, at Noon at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange Street Akron , Ohio 44304.
