Angela Modena

Angela Lillian Modena (Nee Matarrese), 84, passed away on August 6, 2021. Born in Akron Ohio, to the late John and Isabella (Giampetro) Mattarese. Lillian was a graduate of North High School (54) in Akron. She was a Tallmadge resident for 21 years and retired from General Tire in 1998.

In addition to her parents, Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Modena and her special cousin Delores Raynard. She is survived by her son; Anthony (Jan) Panella, daughter Deborah (John) Dvorak, Step children; Donald (Anne) Modena, Gina Jones, Lara (David) Runion, grandchildren; Daniel (Bethany) Panella, Erika (Chris) Koeth, Ali (Patrick) McCue, Thomas (Britni) Dvorak, Ben (Molly) Dvorak and Maria Dvorak, Hannah and Eric Jones, Mary (AJ) Hoy, Matthew (Jenelle) Modena and Adam Modena, great grandchildren; Riley, Savannah, Addisyn and Kayden Panella, Carli Koeth, Henry McCue, Marshall and Oscar Hoy and many family and friends.

Known to many as Mom, Lillian, Lily, Grandma, and of course Diamond Lil, she surely danced her way to the pearly gates where she has joined her beloved Donald. A heartfelt and special thank you for the wonderful care of Lillian goes to the outstanding staff and nurses at the Inn at CoalRidge and Crossroads Hospice.

A private family service and interment occurred on August 11, 2021.
