Andrew Walch

Andrew Walch 87 passed away July 2 2004. Born in Akron June 13 1917 the son of Andrew Albert and Margaret M. (Kline) Walch. He spent 54 years with his loving wife Margaret Ann ''Marg'' Dannemiller. He was an almost life long member of St. Joseph Church in Cuyahoga Falls where he was an Eucharistic Minister and member of parish council. Andy was in the initial first grade in St. Joseph School in 1923. Mr. Walch was retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company in 1979 after 39 years of service and was a volunteer speaker for ''Ma'' Bell. ''Knobby'' belonged to many organizations. In addition he was an Air Force Corporal airplane mechanic repairing B24's during WWII. He was preceeded in death by his parents and two sisters Freda Mae Dannemiller and infant Margaret Teresa. Mr. Walch is survived by his wife Margaret; children Martha Ann (Carmello) Cangemi Mary Catherine (Michael) Meyers James Edward (Denise Petit) Robert John (Lydia Bohm) and John Michael (Mary Elizabeth Kay)and by grandchildren Eric James Brandon Scott Andrew Patrick and Patrick Alfred Walch and Alison Walch; sisters and brothers Pauline ''Polly'' (James) Boley Rita (Robert) Buchanan Raymond (Joanne Flaherty) Walch and Clarence ''Bob'' (Sonya Wilson) Walch. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday July 7 2004 at 9:30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment in the Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. on Tuesday from 4-8. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
