Andrew Selega

Andrew J. Selega 85 a long time resident of Akron passed away suddenly on Wednesday February 24 2010 in West Virginia. Born in Uledia PA he was a decorated WWII Navy Veteran and recipient of The Distinguished Flying Cross. Retired from Ohio Edison in 1986 after 33 years of service. Andy was preceded in death by his wife Theresa and son James. He is survived by his sister Victoria Keefer of Uniontown PA; his daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Scott Thompson of Howell MI; daughter-in-law Sue Selega of Omaha NE; son Frank Selega of Traverse City MI; sons and daughters-in-law Ed and Linda Selega of Medina OH; Dave and Donna Selega of Aurora OH; grandchildren Amy Dawn Sara Frank Emily and Jessica and great-grandchildren Landon and Ella; and special friend SueAnn Stadler of Calvin WV. Funeral Services Monday March 1 2010 at 10 AM at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home on Sunday February 28 2010 from 4-6 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Summit County Humane Society 4904 Quick Rd. Peninsula OH 44264.
