Andrew Kirkland

Andrew S. Kirkland, 68, of Akron, passed away June 24th, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lynn, children; Michael (Carrie), Kerry (Rob), Tracey (Shaun), Patrick, and ten grandchildren. Andy was preceded in death by his father Stewart, mother Ruth, and brother James. Andy graduated from New York State Maritime College with a degree in Meteorology/Oceanography. He was employed by Exxon for 40 years working both Domestic and International Business. Andy had a love for life including; golf, singing, and entertaining all those around him. Calling hours will be held at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, Ohio on Sunday, June 28th from 2-4pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Ave. Akron, Ohio on Monday, June 29th at 11am. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
