Amy Jo Ruggles (January 9, 1961 - April 5, 2022) passed away unexpectedly. Amy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jessie and Frank Ruggles and several aunts and uncles including her Aunt Connie Pisciottta to whom she was especially close. She is survived by her dear Aunt Lois Silvanik, and her cousin and Aunt Lois's son, Rev. Bob Silvanik (Amy) who baptized Amy and who will lead her memorial service. Amy also leaves behind her cousin Grace Pisciotta Morris (John) and their daughter, Sara Grace, who was like a niece to Amy. Amy also leaves behind the Sisters and her housemates at Leonora Hall. Amy was a dedicated volunteer at Manor Care for many years where she worked for Tula Ralles, who was a wonderful boss and a good friend. Amy also volunteered at Summa until the pandemic. Amy was an avid reader of books and magazines and made many trips to the library. She also liked to write, especially poems. Above all, Amy lived a life of faith and in service to others. Amy's family wishes to thank Sister Antoinette of Leonora Hall for all of her care and concern over the years. They also wish to thank Sister Martin and Louise from Leonora Hall as well as Jill and Theresa for all of their help and support during this difficult time. There will be a service honoring and remembering Amy on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11:00 am in the chapel at Rose Hill Funeral Home and Burial Park located at 3653 W. Market Street in Akron, followed by a brief graveside ceremony.
