Amy A. Burdeshaw, 57, of Akron died suddenly November 24, 2015. She was born October 28, 1958 in Akron to Frederick A. and Mary Sue (Madigan) Pierce. Amy was employed by Macy's department store at Chapel Hill. She was happiest spending time with her family, children and grandchildren, as well as her loyal companion Panda. She loved her 'adventures' to Hartville, Amish country and Lake Chautaugua. Her love and joy surrounded us as her infectious laughter and warm smile lit up the room. Amy always made sure to tell each of us 'I love you' every time we were together. Amy was preceded in death by her brother Douglas. She leaves behind to mourn her, daughter Cassie Haag (Josh) of Massillon; son Brian Haag (Samantha); grandchildren Alexis and Aiden Duncan; mother Mary Sue Pierce and father Frederick Pierce of Akron; brothers Mitch (Tina) of Gainesville, Georgia, Andrew (Karen) of Norton; sister Ann (Mike) Nervo of Norton. Amy also leaves to cherish her memory many nieces and nephews and her best friend and companion Dave Thomas. Calling hours are Sunday, November 29, 2015, from 2-4pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley where a memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm. Father Joseph Kraker and Pastor Linda Bradley officiating. Amy's family will receive friends immediately after the service at the home of her sister Ann Nervo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for Amy's grandchildren's education in care of the family.
