Allan Goldie

Allan Goldie, Jr., 76, (Grandpa Oreo) went home on Sunday February 7, 2016. Allan was born March 3, 1939 to parents Allan and Evelyn. He retired from the City of Akron with over 30 years of service. Allan was a veteran of the Marines. He had a passion to cook, golf, play euchre and ride motorcycles. Allan was preceded in the death by his wife Carol, sister Patricia Hively and longtime companion Betty Wood. He is survived by sons Lenny (Barbie), Andy (Shawntell); granddaughters Jessica (Zachary), Jennifer (Jonathan); brother Dave; many nieces and nephews and the entire Wood family. Graveside service (please dress casual) will be held Wednesday, 11:00 am, at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3653 West Market St., Akron. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
