Alice Henry

View Memorial Photo TributeAlice Therese Henry (nee Dannemiller) passed away on September 29 2008. Alice was born in Akron Ohio November 28 1927 to J. B. & Gertrude Dannemiller. She attended St. Sebastian Grade School and graduated from St. Vincent High School Class of 1946. She worked at Kibble & Son Insurance until she married her high school sweetheart Newton N. Henry. At age 39 she returned to college at the University of Akron where she received a degree in education. She taught at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School till 1983. Alice worked at Hillery Advertising before moving to Florida. She later moved to Wadsworth where she was active at Sacred Heart Church. She was a member of Cancer Survivors. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Newton N. Henry; son Newton E. Henry; siblings Janice Thacker Elizabeth Carpenter James (Ursula) Dannemiller & Joseph Dannemiller. Alice is survived by daughters Denise (Paul) Duffy Debra (Bill) Helmkamp Diedre (Greg) Bartemes; sons Andy (Cheryl) & Dan; grandchildren Bill Betsy & MaryEllen Helmkamp. Carly Kelly Ara & Sean Bartmemes Abi Bissette Sam Henry and Shayna Henry; sisters Jeanne Rost and Barbara Soltis; sister-in-law Marguerite Dannemiller; 28 nieces & nephews.
