Alberta Francis (DeGlas) Wiley 77 years passed away on March 27 2010 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on July 17 1932 in Geraarsvergen Belgium. Alberta migrated to Medina Ohio with her mother Florence (Hamilton) DeGlas and her two sisters Irene (Fred) Haas and Yolanda (Ronny) Partlon in December 1947. She graduated from Medina High School in 1950. Alberta married Dale Newton Wiley and settled in Copley Township for the next 57 years. Alberta worked and retired from the various Copley Circle drugstores i.e. Copley Pharmacy Aid Eastwood Youngfellows Acme Pharmacy Revco and CVS for 32 years. Alberta was a loving mother and devoted wife. She was an avid bowler fashionista and traveler. She enjoyed social gatherings conversations and dancing and drew people close to her with her neighborly charm. In addition to her parents Alberta was recently preceded in death by her husband Dale and her sister Irene. She is survived by her daughters Denise Longstreth of Akron and Brenda (Whit) Pauly of Fullerton California her eight grandchildren Melissa Matthew Alicia Chad Tina Linsey Whitney and Austin her two great-grandchildren Ethen and Thomas and her sister Yolanda. A Funeral Service will take place at 9:30 AM on Friday April 2 2010 at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Rd. Interment will take place at Granger Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Becki Bowan-Verbridge officiating. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM.
