Achilles Mollis

Achilles J. Mollis 97 passed away November 17 2009. He was bar manager and head bartender at the Sheraton Mayflower Hotel the Holiday Inn and the Portage Country Club. He also owned the Club Trio and the Esquire Lounge. A member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and AHEPA Achilles was a handball champion and an enthusiastic swimmer. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Frances; his parents James and Marika of Dolianna Greece; brother George; and sister Pauline (Anthe); he is survived by his sons James (Frances) of Tallmadge and Chris (Nora) of Fremont OH; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He leaves a brother Chris (Dee) of Coventry; sisters Angelyne Mathews of Chagrin Falls and Ortho (Chris) Cherpas of Fairlawn; cousin Mary Van Meter of N. Canton; and many nephews nieces relatives friends and neighbors. The family wishes to thank Dr. George Laikos the staff of Mulberry Gardens and Odyssey Hospice Care for their professional warm and excellent quality of care extended to Achilles.
