Michael C. Willett 'Willie' passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on June 20, 2015. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame as an Electrical Engineer. He was married and devoted himself to providing for his family. His faith was the most important thing in his life and you never saw him without his Breviary or his Rosary. Mike was the first one to drop everything to help others. Diagnosed with ALS, he touched many lives as he continued to live out his faith. He kept his tongue-in-cheek sense of humor and was always quick with a pun. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Margaret; his daughter Jen, son-in-law Patrick Watson; his sons: Vincent, Gregory, and Andrew; grandchildren: Colin, Tristan, Sharon, and Ian Watson, and his sister, Marybeth. Mike will be deeply missed. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Bethany, who gave him such wonderful care and was a bright spot in his day. We thank Neil, who was an incredible friend, especially helping with transportation to work, and his wife, Peggy and their family for all the love and support they have given us. We thank Laura and Gerry for all their help at work. We are grateful to all of our family and friends and the ALS Association, who have supported us through this difficult journey. Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 2-8 pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Road, Copley. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1761 2nd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Donations can be made in Mike's name to the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the ALS Association.
