Lois Boyer

November 17, 1930 — January 15, 2011

Lois J. Boyer (Bock) 80 of Copley passed away on January 15 2011 with her family at her side. Lois was a lifelong resident of Copley and employed by Copley Twp. as one of the early fire and police dispatchers and retired as police chief secretary. She was a past women's auxillary member of the Copley Fire Department and Frank Bender Legion Post #473. Lois was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Sharon Center where she and Andy enjoyed many good times with the Adult Class Group. She was always there for her grandchildren and her favorite place was their cabin in Michigan. Lois is preceded in death by her husband Andy; daughter Linda Cleveland; brother Richard; and parents Andy and Erna Bock. Those who will miss her are her daughter Karen (Konrad) Becker; son Bruce; grandchildren Jennifer (Bill) Rhoades Melissa (Neil) Fisher Brittney Boyer Kyle and Karly Becker; 4 great-grandchildren Emily Joshua Brynn and Channing; devoted sister-in-law Joyce Bock; brother Tom (Darline) Bock; long time friend Evelyn Duncan; and adopted family Victor Debbie and Breanna Decristoforo and her dogs. Private burial has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday January 22 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 6462 Ridge Rd Sharon Center. Family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to One of a Kind Pet Rescue 1929 W. Market St Akron OH 44313 due to Lois' love of animals.
