John A. Haas, 84 of Fairlawn, passed away Monday at Hospice Care Center surrounded by his family. John was a founding member of St. Hilary Catholic Church and its St. Vincent De Paul Society. He also proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Our husband and father was a man of integrity, with strong religious faith, who loved his family and was dearly loved in return. He will be forever in our hearts. Proceeded in death by parents Tony and Mary Haas and brother Anthony, Jr. John is survived by loving wife of 64 years, Mary Patricia and their 10 loving children; Laurel (Russ), Lynn (Kirk), Lisa, Laraine (Harmon), Mark, Louann (Dan), Leslie (Tim), LInda (John), Lori (Mike), Jay (Luan); 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Robert (Marguerite): sister-in-law, Helen Kirk, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Hilary Church. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd. COPLEY on Thursday from 4-7 PM.
