VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE James M. Lyons 85 of Akron died August 12 2006. James was preceded in death by his sister Josephine O'Leary. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Mary; son Jim (Mary) Lyons; grandchildren Jimmy and Bradley; sister Jane (Peter) Moulder and many nieces nephews and family. Jim was born in Kansas City Missouri and grew up in Chicago Illinois. He graduated from Loyola University of Chicago in 1942. After graduation he went to work as a sales representative and spent his career in sales. He moved to Akron in 1955 when he married his wife who at the time was a buyer for the Polsky Company. Jim was an active member of St. Sebastian Church in West Akron where he served as an usher for many years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 17 2006 10:00 AM at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 476 Mull Ave. Procession will form at the church. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Rd. on Wednesday from 5-7 PM. Memorial donations may be made to St. Sebastian Parish Foundation 476 Mull Ave. Akron OH 44398.
