George Schmalz

George John Schmalz 82 of Akron passed away March 23 2010 at Summit Villa. George was born on April 26 1927 in Barberton OH to the late John and Thelma Schmalz. George was preceded in death by his parents and sister Helen Louise Swain. He is survived by Marla his wife of 33 years sons Geordie and Geoffrey Schmalz brother Donald (Rosemary) Schmalz brother-in-law and sister-in-law Terry and Sue Peacock numerous other family members and his beloved dog Buddy. George showed his love of God through his many years of counseling and support of others. Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 25 2010. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 East Exchange Street from 10AM-12PM. Funeral service for family only will follow with Deacon Terry Peacock officiating. Private interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Of Summa P.O. Box 2090 Akron OH 44398.
