Charles Marks

Charles Marks 89 died December 19 2003. Charlie grew up in Brooklyn NY and graduated from Columbia University in 1936. He worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and served in the Army during WWII. After the war he returned to Goodyear where he spent most of his career as General Sales Manager of the Shoe Products Division. Charles was an Eagle Scout a president of the University Club of Akron and a member of Fairlawn Country Club where he enjoyed golf and tennis. Charlie is survived by his wife of 54 years Phyllis; his son and daughter-in-law Tom and Lisa; his grandchildren Eveline and John; and his brother Tony. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 23 2003 at NOON at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home (COPLEY CHAPEL) 3475 Copley Rd on Monday from 4-6 p.m.
