Bernice Salamon 90 of Cuyahoga Falls peacefully passed away on Tuesday February 1 2011. She was born on November 13 1920 in Richmond KY to the late L.J. and Audrey (Richardson) Barclay. Bernice has been a resident of the Akron area since 1942. She was married to Frank Salamon in 1943. She participated in the activities of the Quirk Senior Center for many years and was a member of the National Council of Catholic Women and Immaculate Conception Church Mission Circle. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Frank her parents brother Henry and wife Lena Barclay sister Louise and husband Wendell Chambliss and brother-in-law William Salamon. She is survived by children: Herb Salamon of Ashland OH; Sandy Salamon and husband Paul Chacho Jr. of Placitas NM; Michael Salamon and wife Judith of Cuyahoga Falls OH: sister Patty Hoffman and husband Lowell of Fort Meyers FL: grandchildren Kathleen Salamon of Albuquerque NM; Frank Salamon of Ashland OH: sisters-in-law Rosalie Mills of Akron OH; Charlotte Salamon of Cuyahoga Falls OH; Frances Goedde and husband Harrie of Ranchos Palos Verde CA. Private family services will take place at a later date.
